Quiz shows for farmers, a bottoms-up approach involving agriculturists, inviting programming suggestions from general public, are some of the ideas that came up at a brainstorming session held by the Information and Broadcasting Ministry forDoordarshan'sKisan TV channel.

Information and Broadcasting Minister Prakash Javadekar, officials of Prasar Bharati, I&B ministry and many domain experts came up with ideas on how to make Doordarshan's Kisan TV channel a rousing success, according to sources.

Officials said that during the meeting it was suggested that emphasis should be on farmer to farmer interaction so that agriculturists can benefit from each other's experience
