DD plans health channel 

According to sources, the government is set to launch a 24 hour "must carry"     health channel called DD-health at an annual outlay of Rs 180 crore, which will be operational by next year. 

 The DD health will be jointly funded and promoted by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare  and Prasar Bharati and will cater to needs of medical needs of the people across the nation.

Friends Of Prasar Bharati welcome the initiative of Prasar Bharati to launch such a good project. The association of Ministry of Health and Family Welfare with Prasar Bharati to launch the channel is a good sign, Because due to that the financial burden on Prasar Bharati will be less, and the concept of sharing of the public service responsibility  of Prasar Bharati with other Ministries and department  will certainly help to improve the  financial position of Prasar Bharati .
