Doordarshan plans to air grassroots inventions.
Grassroots innovators and their discoveries and inventions may soon get airtime in the country’s National TV channel Doordarshan . And if things go well, a dedicated channel for such innovations may also be launched soon.
According to Haleem Khan, Director General of the Council for Advancement of People's Action and Rural Technology (CAPART), which functions under the Ministry of Rural Development, negotiations with Doordarshan are on and plans are afoot to introduce such regular programmes. “We are talking with Doordarshan. Perhaps daily one-hour shows with 20 minutes for a single innovator will be introduced. We are also thinking about demonstrations, interviews and call-ins, where viewers can talk to the innovator directly and ask whatever questions they may have,” Khan said. |||||| Thank you for your interest.|||||| |
