The issue of
Central Vigilance Commission’s “strong condemnation” regarding Prasar
Bharati’s CEO’s activities was raised in the Parliament on Monday
(02-08-2010). Raising the issue during Zero Hour in the Rajya Sabha, CPI
member Syed Azeez Pasha wanted to know why the government was silent on the
    issue.

         “The Central Vigilance
Commission has passed strictures against the functioning of CEO in a minimum
of five different cases,” the CPI MP said. Mr Pasha said infighting between
members of the Prasar Bharati board has also led to “a portrayal of an
    organisation in drift.”

         "It is mystifying why
government is so quiet on the goings on in Prasar Bharati".
Information and Broadcasting Minister Ambika Soni was present in the house,
when the member raised the issue.
