Pasar Bharati has bagged three honours at the  awards ceremony held during the 46th Asian Broadcasting Union (ABU) General Assembly, held in Ulaanbaator, Mongolia .

DD India won the Asiavision annual award 2009 for most news flashes. 

The ABU award for climate change (TV) was bagged by the programme ‘Seeds of Change’ produced by Emani Krishna Rao, senior TV news correspondent, Doordarshan Kendra (Hyderabad).

The ABU award on HIV/AIDS radio programme was won by Ashok Kumar Mishra, senior announcer (AIR), Jeypore, Orissa for his programme in Oriya titled ‘Janile Jiniba’ (Know and Win).
